After years of side projects, solo acts and soundtracks, Shudder to Think have stopped the shenanigans and reformed to bring the rock -- the delightfully bent, seductive rock -- for their first official tour in a decade.

Beck, Modern Guilt: Pop's two cleverest auteurs decide to carpool.

Despite his main act taking a temporary hiatus, Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has been a busy man as of late.

"I set out to make the most poppy album I could muster," Menomena drummer Danny Seim tells SPIN.com of his solo project Lackthereof's Barsuk Records debut, Your Anchor, set to arrive July 22. And with "Last November," the first leak from the forthcoming set -- his ninth as Lackthereof -- Seim's words are certainly validated.

Making their entrance by weaving through the crowd to the stage, L.A. noise rockers the Mae Shi brought their loud, spastic, and over-reactive sound to Minneapolis’ Uptown Bar last night (July 7th). The set's second song, “I Get (Almost) Everything I Want,” was barebones instrumentally but full of cathartic harmonies and buoyed by a powerful chorus.

Who? Guitarist Mike Stroud and multi-instrumentalist Evan Mast, who, together as Brooklyn's Ratatat, dig deep into the studio and spool a blip and blop fusion of electro-rock-and-pop, which at times, even ventures into hip-hop and reggae territory.
